Enterprise Architecture Overview:

We feel that architecture is a fundamental precondition to deliver consistent business value from operations.

From our perspective, enterprise architecture (including business, information, application, security, technical and compliance) has a symbiotic relationship with business analysis (enterprise, business, and systems); good analysis is the basis of solid architecture, and solid architecture provides the platform for good analysis.
The deliverables from this relationship include:
·         Blueprints of the organization which support its operating model, optimized for current organizational objectives,
·         Program and project requirements in support of the corporate mission,
·         A platform for Compliance Integration, ensuring the organization efficiently manages the balance between control and operational performance,
·         Business intelligence which helps governance teams understand and quantify opportunities for improvement.
Architectures are meant to evolve. To accomplish this, maturity frameworks as well as process improvement methodologies provide the tools to drive the symbiotic relationship in a way that is most effective for the organization’s culture and operating model.
A common component of all of our work is to “operationalize” enterprise architecture, helping organizations demonstrate business value from strategy. Our feeling is that strategy for strategy sake is useless – the beauty of strategy is in the way it pays off for the organization.
We have the experience, methodologies and partnerships to ensure your organization get maximum business benefit from its architectural investments.

Use of Architecture in Our Work:

This comprehensive case study, created in collaboration with Robbins-Gioia, provides an example of the symbiotic relationship described above.

This whitepaper describes how an architectural approach can integrate compliance control to minimize compliance cost and maximize business benefit. This case study discusses how business objectives were operationalized through business and compliance architectures.  It also includes Lean / Six Sigma improvements, and competitive gains that occurred as a result of this approach.
